HANGMAN’s GRAVEYARD tells the story of some of Toronto’s most notorious criminals, criminals who meet their end at the end of the hangman’s noose. To illuminate the lives of the men found behind the old Don Jail producers worked in concert with Dr. Ron Williamson and his team from Archaeological Services Inc. to pull countless archival and visual references. The main source of reference where period newspaper accounts, which give vivid details of the criminals, their crimes, and executions. The majority of these newspaper’s where taken from the Toronto Reference Library. The judical documents relating to the criminals, their trials and sentences where also consulted from the Library and Archives Canada and to bring historic Toronto to life, hundreads of images where poured over from the Toronto Archives.
