VIEWER RESPONSE!
Posted in Uncategorized on 12/07/2009 09:28 pm by ballinranWe have had such an amazing response from the audience for Hangman’s Graveyard that we have decided to post some of the best comments on our website.
Congratulations! Hangman’s Graveyard was a truly great program. Your commentary, the photography and the way it told the story of both the Don Jail and your work there, all gave the program great impact, with its combination of horror and sensitivity. Ed Rutherford
Quite enjoyed watching Hangman’s Graveyard on the History Channel last night. Well done! Chris Watts

Hello,
Thanks for contacting me and letting me see the finished product. It was a real pleasure to participate in the program and I’m so glad it helps bring the history of the old Don to light. I have been trying to save whatever I can from this beautiful building to preserve our history as officers in the service, and allow the public a little taste of what life was like on the other side of those walls. You guys did a great job. Many people will actually miss this place, believe it or not

Why isn’t this on streaming somewhere? Seems a bit silly to hold back now that it has been premiered. I missed the Dec. 6 showing, I ASSUMED it would be available after the television showing. If I missed a link, excuse my pertinence.

I did not know that the Hangman’s Graveyard was going to be the History channel…but lucky for me I stumbled apon it while channel surfing.
I thoroughly enjoyed it! Well done! An interesting part of Toronto’s history…Sadly though it’s about to dissapear forever. It angers me that the no one with the finances had the foresight to make the old Don Jail Toronto’s own “Alcatraz”…I strongly feel that with the jail’s history and good publicity, that it would be an important tourist attraction…
Sadly Toronto has lost many of it’s jewels to lack of foresight and the bulldozer of progre$$.
